Fri Night Live Concert - THE LARKS 9/30/2022

Salisbury, MD: Friday Night Live Concert Series at Downtown Salisbury’s Riverwalk Amphitheater closes out its season this Friday September 30, 2022 with The Larks.

While hopes were high to host one last make-up show for Red Letter Day on October 7th, it has become clear that the best thing to do is catch Red Letter Day next year for a 2023 concert series date, leaving The Larks to close out the 2022 Summer Concert Series as originally planned. The Larks are one of the Shore’s most celebrated jazz ensembles known for their special brand of deep-pocket funky jazz.

The Larks were founded by guitarist Pete Bozick back in 2001, and have been laying down the funky jazz fusion ever since, with rave reviews, multiple albums and regular annual appearances at the Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival.

Band members have jammed with several heavy hitters in the jazz world including Freddie Hubbard, Arturo Sandoval, Nicholas Payton, Horace Silver, Clark Terry, and Keter Betts. This Friday’s ensemble will include Pete Bozick on guitar, Charlie Greenhalgh on bass, Jamaar Oney on keyboard, Everett Spells on saxophone and Dave Gladding on drums.

The concert will be held at Salisbury’s Riverwalk Amphitheater from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is free to attend - just bring your own lawn chair. Local food trucks That Kitchen and Mister Softee’s Ice Cream Truck will be on site offering both sweet and savory snacks, or carry-out from one of Downtown Salisbury’s fabulous restaurants. Beer and wine will be available for sale. Parking is available in the Downtown Salisbury parking garage or in the City of Salisbury Parking lots located just north of the river, all free after 5 p.m. on Fridays. Help us be good neighbors - please don't park in La Quinta's parking spaces.

“It’s bittersweet to see the 2022 Summer Concert Series come to a close, but it has been so much fun being able to enjoy live music outside along Downtown Salisbury’s beautiful Riverwalk this year, and I really appreciate everyone who has supported it” says Executive Director Jamie Heater. The concert series is sponsored by Salisbury Arts & Entertainment District, the City of Salisbury and The Maryland State Arts Council.
