Public Art Master Plan Community Conversations Continue
Salisbury, MD: Salisbury Arts & Entertainment District, in partnership with the City of Salisbury, is pleased to announce the next phase of the Public Art Master Planning process. The Public Art Master Plan process kicked-off with a Public Art Community Conversation in March, and a second Community Conversation will be held on Wednesday June 15th, 2022. This second community conversation will be a similar rapid-fire, open-mic style but this time focusing on a Top Ten List of Public Art Ideas for Salisbury. The audience can vote for its favorites, and learn more about upcoming ways the community can engage with the project throughout the summer.
The Public Art Community Conversation event will be held on Wednesday, June 15th, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Revival, Downtown Salisbury’s newest entertainment venue, located on the 3rd Floor of the City Center Building off Main Street. The event will include a 30-minute period to mingle & enjoy light fare before the conversation begins at 5:30 p.m. hosted by Public Art Master Plan Consultant Todd Bressi, of Artful Places. The event is free and open to the public, and will be the first of many opportunities to participate.

The Master Planning process will include multiple additional visits, events, and opportunities for the public to share input. The process will culminate with a written plan to help guide the City of Salisbury into the future, to help determine funding strategies, priority areas and projects, and best practices. The Public Art Master Planning process was funded in part by contributions from The City of Salisbury, Salisbury Arts & Entertainment District, and a grant from the Chaney Enterprises Foundation Fund.
